Conditional Rescission of Principal Residence Exemption (PRE): An owner may keep the PRE on the previous principal residence for up to three years if that property is not occupied, is for sale, is not leased, is not used for any business or commercial purpose, and have filed a Principal Residence Exemption on another property in Michigan.

Request to Rescind/Withdraw PRE: If you stop using your exempted property as your principal residence but not selling it you must file this form to rescind your claim.
