Amendment to Sec. 20-1804 Sec. (A)(2) - First Reading
The Charter Township of Flushing had a first reading at the Flushing Township Planning Commission Meeting on Monday, March 2, 2020 and will have the second reading at the April 9, 2020 Board of Trustees Meeting of the Amendment to Sec. 20-1804 Sec. (A)(2) Requirements for Permitted Special Uses:
No accessory building or structure shall be constructed prior to construction of the primary residence on the same lot or parcel, except in accordance with one of the following:
- For principal permitted uses that do not require structures, an accessory building or structure may be constructed following Township approval of the principal use and issuance of required building permits.
- For single family residences, a permanent accessory building or structure may be erected in order to secure tools or materials for the residence under construction after issuance of a building permit for the residence by the appropriate building authority.
A copy of the proposed amendment is available for public review at the Township Office during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The ordinance is also available for review at www.flushingtownship.com
